Incense-Cedar Essential Oil
Incense-Cedar Essential Oil
Low stock
Incense-Cedar is very aromatic, and refreshing with citrus, coniferous and woody notes. The aroma is bright and energetic like rays of sunlight and crisp mountain streams.
I steam-distilled Calocedrus decurrens (Incense-Cedar) trees grown on our land at 2300 feet elevation, in Oak Run, California. First, I crush the fresh cedar tips then slow distill them in a hybrid copper stainless steel still. Incense-cedar grows in the Cascade Mountains as far north as Mount Hood but more extensively in the Siskiyous and mountainous areas of southwest Oregon and California. The wood has been used to make aromatic cedar chests and #2 pencils.
I recommend never using essential oils full strength directly on your skin but to only use them diluted as they are very concentrated. For safety information, read my Essential Oil Guides.
