Basic Cold Process Soap Making 101
My original 101 Soap Making Class! This is a beginner-level course.
I'll teach you how to make soap from scratch at home as a hobby. Have fun while learning completely hands-on. The objective is to understand saponification values and be comfortable calculating and formulating your own soap recipes at home. You'll make real cold process soap from scratch during the session and get to take it home. Students also take home a soap mold, a bottle of sodium hydroxide and handouts, which include step-by-step instruction, resources, and recipes to help you continue at home.

Bring to class: Wear a long sleeve shirt, closed-toe shoes, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. If you have a favorite pair of safety goggles you may bring them or use one provided.
Milk Soap Making
This class is intended as a second-level course.Prerequisite: Students should know the basics of cold process soap making. At a minimum, the student should be familiar with procedures, equipment, and safety or have taken my Cold Process Soap Making 101 Class.
This soap making class is designed to teach students to make milk soap from scratch at home as a hobby. Have fun while learning completely hands-on. Students make cold process milk soap during the class session and get to take it home. Students also take home handouts, which include step-by-step instruction, and recipes to help you continue at home.
Topics include: Special considerations and safety concerns for making milk soap and how to control effects through various soap-making techniques. We will cover three ways of making milk soap.
