Is It Good To Wash Your Face With Bar Soap?

Is It Good To Wash Your Face With Bar Soap?

Is it good to wash your face with bar soap?

Many people swear by facial bar soaps as a face cleanser, others do not. So, is bar soap good for your face? The answer depends on the soap you choose.

Most commercially made commodity bar soaps are not good for the face. They can be harsh and abrasive, leaving skin dry and irritated, plus they contain synthetic fragrance and dyes. Before you use bar soap on your face, make sure it’s been formulated specifically for use on the facial skin.

My artisan facial soap bars are different and here are 3 reasons why:

  1. Clean Ingredients.
Here are the ingredients in my Glacial Clay Facial Soap Bar. You can pronounce all of these real ingredients. Nothing weird or harmful.

Olea europaea (Olive) Oil
Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil
Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Milk
Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter
Sodium Hydroxide
Magnifera indica (Mango) Butter
Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Oil
Ricinus communis(Castor) Oil
Glacial Marine Clay
Avena sativa (Colliodal Oatmeal)

  1. Soft, clean skin.

Strong enough to clean make up off your skin, but mild enough for daily use. Gently cleanses without stripping or drying, and no tight feeling.

  1. Specifically formulated for the face with powerful actives.

    Glacial Clay Facial Soap:
    Glacial Marine Clay.
Deeply cleanses and revitalizes skin. These clay deposits supply large amounts of minerals and elements that are required for good health and well-being making it one of the purest and most highly enriched clays available.
Coconut Milk. Applied directly to the skin, coconut milk is soothing to the surface. Coconut milk provides Vitamin C and improve the skin’s appearance and elasticity. Rich and creamy coconut milk creates a soft, velvety lather.
Mango Seed Butter. This rich, thick, conditioning butter leaves the skin soft and nourished. Mango butter, a natural source of vitamins A and C, provides a glowing and plump appearance to the skin and helps protect skin from environmental stressors.
Colloidal Oatmeal. Helps soothe dry, sensitive, and irritated skin. It helps prevent trans epidermal water loss, keeping skin hydrated and calm.

Select the right facial bar soap to match your skin needs. It can make all the difference.

Normal to Sensitive – Mountain Rose, Glacial Clay

Normal to Dry/Mature – Evening Primrose, Wild Carrot Seed

Normal to Combination – Lavender Sage

Normal to Oily – Juniper Berry

A serum is a nutrition supplement for the skin. How do you incorporate a serum into your facial routine? A good rule of thumb to remember is that water comes first, and then you lock in that hydration with oil. Facial oils should always come last to seal in the moisture you’ve provided.

Got dry skin? Try colloidal oatmeal! Oatmeal is a classic ingredient used to soothe the skin and relieve itchy and dry skin conditions.
