Invigorating Beauty Routine - Dry Brushing

Do you want to improve health, increase circulation, and give your body some extra exfoliation for bright and smooth skin? Try dry brushing. With gentle massage, body brushing stimulates the lymphatic system, promotes detoxification of the skin and reduces cellulite. Another reason to dry brush is because it feels good - it's an all-natural energy boost! Here is how it’s done.

Find a soft natural bristle brush with a long handle. Alternatively, a loofah sponge can be used.

Dry skin brushing should be preformed once daily, preferably in the morning. Always dry brush before you shower so you can wash off impurities afterwards.

Beginning with the bottom of your feet and upwards, brush your entire body using long sweeping strokes. Brush from your hands toward your body and on your torso upward toward the heart. Use circular counter-clockwise strokes on the abdomen. Brush upwards on the back and down from the neck. Brush vigorously and with increasing pressure only as you can handle it, but using lighter pressure in sensitive areas. Avoid skin that is broken or has a rash. Brush for about 3-5 minutes.

After brushing, shower as usual. Now that your pores are unclogged your skin can absorb nutrients and eliminate toxins. Apply body oil to your still damp skin.

Body brushing is easy, inexpensive and energizing. It will leave your skin feeling healthy, invigorated and polished.

Looking for other all-natural beauty rituals? Try this - anyone can do it; it works incredibly well and doesn’t cost a thing!

Try these.

To your energized skin,

How To Use Facial Serums

A serum is a nutrition supplement for the skin. How do you incorporate a serum into your facial routine? A good rule of thumb to remember is that water comes first, and then you lock in that hydration with oil. Facial oils should always come last to seal in the moisture you’ve provided.

Got dry skin? Try colloidal oatmeal! Oatmeal is a classic ingredient used to soothe the skin and relieve itchy and dry skin conditions.
