This Mugwort is one of the blue essential oils. California Mugwort (Artemesia douglasiana) also commonly called Douglas' Sagewort is in the Asteraceae family. It's been used as a ceremonial plant in Native cultures and as a dream potentiator. It can used topically as it is good for dry, irritated skin.

California Mugwort has a special aroma profile that is powerful, sweet, sage-like, green and herbal with camphor notes. It blends well with juniper, lavender, rosemary and sage. It's really great in a forest or herbal blend.

Grown, harvested and steam-distilled from wild and cultivated plants grown in Oak Run, California. Slow distilled in a copper and stainless steel hybrid still.

Note: Mugwort should be highly diluted before use. Contains alpha-thujone and should be used with care. Highly dilute, adding one drop at a time. It is thought that people with epilepsy, high blood pressure, and pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid mugwort due to the camphor and thujone content.
